VR for custom homes

Walk Through Your Custom Home Before It's Built

You are about to spend millions on a house you can only see on paper. We turn your architect's plans into a full-scale virtual reality model, so you can stand in the kitchen, look into the living room and decide if it feels right before anyone pours concrete.

A client walking a $5 million home in Destin, Florida

This house did not exist yet. The owner put on the headset and walked it, room by room, from the architect's plans.

What you can check in VR that plans don't show you

  • Room size and ceiling height. Is the kitchen too tight? Is the great room too tall to feel cozy?
  • How rooms connect. Walk from the garage to the kitchen with groceries. Walk from the primary bedroom to the laundry.
  • Views. What you see from each window, the pool from the living room, and what your neighbors can see.
  • Finishes. Stone, wood, cabinetry and lighting at real scale, not in a small sample.
  • Disagreements. If you and your partner can't agree on a layout, walk both options and decide.

How it works

  1. Send your plans. Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp or PDF.
  2. We confirm the scope. Which rooms, finishes and exterior areas, your deadline, and a fixed quote with revision rounds in writing.
  3. We build the model from your drawings. Your real dimensions, not an approximation.
  4. You walk it. In a headset session or on your own computer.
  5. You take changes to your architect. We don't redesign. We show you the house so you can decide.

VR walkthrough vs. renderings, animations and Matterport

  • Rendering: a still picture. Beautiful, but you can't move.
  • Animation: a video on a fixed camera path. You see what someone else chose to show.
  • Matterport or 360 tour: a scan of a house that already exists, viewed from fixed points.
  • VR walkthrough: a house that doesn't exist yet, and you control where you walk and look.

Questions homeowners ask us

Can I walk through my house in VR before it's built?

Yes. We take your architect's plans and build a full-scale virtual model of the house. You put on a headset and walk from room to room as if the house were already standing.

Will it be my real plans, or something close?

Your real plans. We model from your drawings: wall positions, ceiling heights, windows, stairs and cabinetry. Anything the plans don't define, like a finish not chosen yet, we confirm with you before we model it.

Shouldn't my architect do this?

Some architects offer VR, and if yours does, ask them first. Most deliver drawings and still renderings. We work alongside your architect. We don't redesign your house. If you spot a problem in VR, you take it back to your architect.

What files do you need?

Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp or PDF plans all work. A Revit or SketchUp model is faster to start from, but PDFs are enough.

Do I need to buy a VR headset?

No. We can run a guided headset session, and we can also give you a version you open on a normal computer screen. If headsets make you dizzy, the screen version or teleport movement solves that.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the size of the house, how many rooms and finishes you want in detail, and whether you want the lot, pool and views included. Send your plans and we reply with a fixed quote. Compare it with the cost of moving a wall or a window after framing.

Will it delay my construction?

It shouldn't. Tell us your plan approval date and we scope the model to fit it. If time is short, we start with the rooms you are least sure about.

What if my plans change?

Revision rounds are written into the quote before we start, so you know what a change costs.

We're tearing down and rebuilding. Can you show the lot and views?

Yes. We can include the lot, pool, driveway, trees and the view from each window, so you see what you will see from inside before anything is demolished.

Do you work in my city?

Yes. We work with homeowners and architects in every US state, from Miami, Los Angeles and New York to Dallas, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, Denver, Nashville and Charlotte. Everything runs remotely from your plans, and we can ship a headset to you. The Destin, Florida home on this page is one example.

Already have architectural plans?

Send them over. Tell us the house size, your city and when construction starts. We reply with scope, timeline and a fixed quote.
