Floating Hotel Visualization: Island Bliss Bahamas

Bringing the "Bora Bora" Experience to the Caribbean

Island Bliss is an ambitious hospitality project aimed at introducing overwater bungalow luxury to the Bahamas. Rendimension was commissioned to visualize this floating hotel concept, bridging the gap between marine engineering and high-end resort design. Our goal was to prove to investors that the serenity of the South Pacific could be successfully replicated in Caribbean waters.

Technical Focus: Water Simulation & Caustics

In a project where the ocean is the foundation, standard water shaders are insufficient. The technical challenge was to replicate the specific turquoise gradient of the Bahamian shoals.

  • Caustics & Clarity: We used advanced ray-tracing to calculate how sunlight refracts through the crystal-clear water, casting realistic caustic patterns on the seabed visible from the glass-floor viewing panels inside the suites.
  • Structural Integration: The renders needed to show how the floating platforms anchored securely while maintaining a lightweight, eco-friendly aesthetic that blends with the horizon.

Selling the "Unbuilt" Paradise

Marine construction is capital intensive. Our photorealistic visualizations served as the primary asset for the capital raising stage, allowing stakeholders to visualize the ROI of a premium nightly rate based on the exclusivity and unique positioning of the floating units.
